Sections Top^ Reviews

Reviewers are held to a higher standard than other users of this site. Since they are contributing content used to advise and enlighten other users, their opinion should be carefully thought out and well-written. If your writing style is unintelligible or distracting, your review is not helpful and will be removed. Quality and thoroughness is appreciated and rewarded, not sheer quantity. Below are some guidelines that are to be read and followed by all reviewers.

All reviews are to be carefully checked for spelling and grammar errors before posting.

Please separate different ideas or sections with a blank line (return).

The use of offensive language or slang is not permitted in a review. If it is used, the review will be deleted and the user’s reviewer status will be revoked.

In addition, reviews of content containing adult themes of any kind may be subject to deletion. If you have a question about it, ask before posting.

Informal speech is allowed, but leet-speak, internet slang and abbreviations (i.e. lol, imo, ttyl), and other "lazy" forum-style jargon should be avoided. Use it if you must in the comments, but it is inappropriate for a review.

Plagiarism of any kind is absolutely not allowed and will be considered a serious offense. Quite simply, if you quote someone that is not you, surround the content with quotation marks and state the source.

Please try to avoid including spoilers in the review. I have seen examples that include almost nothing else, and they are essentially useless as a review. You may mention character names that are not introduced initially, but revealing critical plot developments (or even relatively minor ones) to make a point is unacceptable. As this is a rather vague and subjective requirement, reviewers that I feel are in violation will have their posts edited, and I will explain what I felt was inappropriate. Constant flagrant violators will have their reviewer status revoked, however.

Reviews are intended to be a source of information and insight for the uninformed. Please attempt to be objective in your description of the title in question. Feel free to express your opinion, certainly, but make sure that you elaborate on the reasons and attempt to depict things accurately. Statements of fact like "This was awful…" are not reviews, so keep this in mind.

In keeping with the aforementioned point, the synopsis, review, and conclusion sections should be fairly lengthy. A single sentence is not sufficient to describe each (trust me). The review should obviously be the longest section, containing multiple paragraphs. The other two sections should at least 2 sentences, possibly a single compound sentence for the conclusion. There is some leeway here, but extremely sparse text is not appreciated in a review. If I detect a trend in your postings, your reviewer status will be revoked.

Top^ Uploads

File uploads are very simple. You may upload .jpg files that are 1Mb or less in size. That is all. Anyone attempting to upload anything else intentionally will be warned or banned. You should attempt to optimize any images as much as possible without degrading quality before uploading. It would also be wise to check the image sections of the site for the image you are uploading as duplicate images will be removed. Below are further instructions.

You must accurately select the title (if any) and type (Wallpaper, Scan, Screenshot) of the image you are uploading.

Offensive images or images that contain unauthorized advertising will be deleted, and the uploader’s account may be banned. If you have any question as to what is offensive, ask me - do not upload.

Off-topic images or extremely low-quality (content or actual visual quality) will be deleted.

Images ripped directly from other sites, wallpapers used without the creator’s consent, and copyrighted images are not allowed and will be deleted.

Top^ Comments

Comments are much more flexible than reviews. Feel free to use informal, conversational language for your posts if you choose. Abbreviations, colloquialisms, etc. are perfectly acceptable.

However, the use of profanity, explicit language, racial/ethnic/religious slurs, or any other insulting references is strictly prohibited. Users who post in this manner will be banned. Immediately. This should be treated as a family-friendly site (think PG).

Flaming will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Whether I, the majority, or anyone else agrees with your point (if any) is irrelevant. Flamers will have their posts deleted and will be banned at my discretion.

Posting single word comments or ^bump will result in a warning. Repeat offenders will be banned.

Spam of any kind is not allowed. That is why it is spam. Posting links to external sites without permission will result in a warning and, depending on the nature of the site, could ultimately result in a ban.

Opinions can be expressed in the comments, but try to keep them directed at the subject at hand (the review). Off-topic posts and criticisms of other users or this site are to be avoided. That is what the feedback form is for.

Users should make an effort to compose their thoughts as best as possible before posting. Rambling, nonsensical, illegible posts will be deleted.
